The New Mexico Public Education Department has issued new guidance for handling threats that originate on social media. Recently, schools across the nation have seen a surge in social media threats—many of which are hoaxes or pranks. Even when these threats are unfounded, they can still lead to widespread fear, the cancellation of events, and a strain on resources. We urge everyone to be vigilant online and report any suspicious activity to authorities. Let's work together to keep our schools safe and protect our community's well-being.

Our first SEL day was a success. We had grade level assemblies where we reviewed important procedures and went over our new “Soar with the 4 Core”. Students in each class created a collaborative poster that says We Belong Here.

What students do both inside and outside of the classroom impacts their educational success. When students participate in activities outside the classroom, such as clubs, sports or school events, they develop a sense of belonging and community.
